Summit White w/Ebony (black) interior...

Asking $13,900. w/21,881 miles. KBB lists it for $15,790.

Think I might be able to negotiate a slightly better price ?? Least gonna try..
Dealer is playing hardball... Asking Price went up $14,500...WTF ??
He said it was only down for a special sale event..

If this one wasn't almost exactly what I wanted, I'd walk away..

But I'm still dickering on the price, & looking on-line at others also..

Something gotta give..

I wouldn't give into them... If they COULD sell it before at that price, why can't they now? No one is making you buy a car, and they know that. But they have to sell one. The customer always has the most negotiating power, and you have to remember that.

Yep CCK- Guess I tend to forget that sometimes..Thanks for reminding me ..

Been over 11 years since I bought my current 98 Chevy S-10, my haggling skills are a little rusty..

I would like to get this 08 Panel, but time will tell..

I heard Chevy has made more..

Well later today is the day.. Either they take my cash offer w/(already made good deal on my trade) or I am just gonna keep looking..

I guess time will tell., with trade value included I'm trying to get it for $14,000. out da door..

I hope the HHR Panel does as good as my trusty old S-10 has done over the many years.

My HHR was built on 08/25/08 so it's sticker was at a lower price than models recently built. HHR model ($18,930) LT 2LT package summit white ($1700), automatic ($1000), cashmere beige leather ($750), usb port radio ($100), sunroof ($750) destination charge ($660).

Sticker: $23,890.00
Discounts: $8,246.00
My Price: $15,644.00

The $8246.00 included a $1131 dealer reduction on sticker, $4500 CFC program, $2500 GM rebate, $115 trade-in allowance for my 88 BMW 325i. So I got approx 34.5% off of the sticker. An honest deal I think......

Yea Fred that does sound like a good deal !!!

Me, I'm still playing the numbers game at the dealer.. We're very close to a deal. (hopefully)...

The 08 Panel is an LT2, 2.4, auto, spoiler, racks, & in summit white as well..

If the deal goes thru I'll post the final price & etc..

09 HHR SS

sticker was $27415.00
with taxes and tags figured back in $21,120.00 out the door

It may not be the lowest but I'm happy with the price considering we didn't have a cash for clunkers to trade in.
