General HHR Discuss anything related to the Chevy HHR that doesnt seem to fit into the more specific categories below.

On most of the GM sedans, and coupes, like the Impala, Cobalt, etc.. the steering wheel, radio, some guages and seats are the same as what's in the HHR.

Now we know how he got 1200 posts. He doubles'em!

I looked at a 2007 'Vette at the dealer recently. When you look at what they were, and what they are now...............they are sure getting quite lame.

The entire center console gets re-used in the Saturn Aura. Take a good look the next time you see it in the TV commercials. As far as why, well ...

My wife is in a masters-level engineering course which features lectures by engineers from a lot of car manufacturers. Apparently part of GM's design process is determining how many parts can be interchanged with various other vehicles, the main reason being to keep production costs down! If you notice, for instance, the same steering wheel is used in most of the passenger vehicles GM produces regardless of badge, the only differences being the manufacturer logo on the center horn. Hell, even Suzuki uses it!
