What are these?

What are these inlets at the back of the front wheel wells?

They have a rubber flap over them that lifts easily. Of course I never thought to look into them when I had the wheels off

I thought that the one on the passenger side might be for the air intake, but there is also one on the drivers side.

Beats me...definitely an interesting question. Flap door sure does flip up easily though.

I just went out and poured some water below the windshield and it came out everywhere but there.

Maybe it has something to do with the fresh air vents.

Spare key safe? Mini beer cooler? If nobody answers this today, I'll check mine out tomorrow if the rain ever stops.

I went out and poured some water into the grate on the drivers side, it came right out.
They`re drains.
I`d say that if you don`t get any water, they may be clogged with debris.
Good catch, I never noticed them before.
PS. Could they be named the "Black Rose" drains?
Or not???

I poured mine in on the passenger side...and that piece was drier than a popcorn fart. But...we just got a gully washer rain and I just went and checked and both are wet inside now. Guess I didn't pour enough water in there the first time around.
