what is it, and what does it have? LT1 or 2?

I just got my 07 HHR. It was a former rental, sold at a chevy dealership that was owned by alamo (I think- one of the big rental companies). I got it at the end of the month for $12000., with 26000 miles on it. But they didn't seem to know much about it. I was told it's an LT1, with the 2.2 engine, which is what I wanted,.
Don't know why I didn't see it before, but right under the hood it says 2.4, so that was wrong.
The VIN is 3GNDA33P57S509584
It's gold color, and so far, I love it. I drive 90 miles a day to work, and this gas mileage is going to be wonderful. I've been getting 29 mpg mixed- very little highway, all rush hour city traffic.
I just don't know too much about the features it has other than the obvious ones. I think it has antilock brakes- but don't know how to tell if it's got traction control. It's got 17" wheels (actually would have preferred the 16", tires are cheaper to replace), chrome package, and of course, smoker's package. And smells a tiny bit like it's been smoked in. No cargo mat, cloth seats- black. six speakers, CD player. No sunroof, no onstar. Auto mirrors and driver's seat.
Can anyone tell me if this is an LT1 or 2?
doesn't matter, I love the car. Maybe not the day I have to fill it the first time with premium gas, but my other choice is to drive the aztek (22 mpg) or the diesel excursion (17 mpg), so I'll get over that!
I'm loving this site, need to get a trailer hitch on it for my bike, and some sort of nonskid rubber mat on the back bumper for the dogs. Already ordered the light in sight windshield prism.

Size: 5.6 KB to the site!!! The big determining factor between a 1LT and a 2LT is the suspension. Open the glove box and look on the plaque for RPO Code FE3. This is the code for the sport suspension on the 2LT. As for premium, many members here use regular gas in their 2LT's.

thanks! It does have FE3 as one of the codes. I guess they really didn't know as much about the cars they were selling as they should. I guess that means it does have traction control?
I thought, not sure where I heard it, that the LT2 always had running boards and spoiler.

They always have running boards AFIAK. The spoiler is an extra cost option. My 2LT doesn't have one.

Running Boards and the Spoiler were an option on the 2007 HHR 2LT.

Look in the glove box for the RPO sticker and see if it has FE3 as one of the codes.

I bought my HHR about 2 months ago. It also was a rental car (Avis) with 29k miles on it. Mine is a 2LT. I have pretty much all of the options except the onstar, xm radio, sunroof, spoiler & leather. I drove an LS with the 2.2 & my LT before deciding on the LT and I'm glad I did. I think the 2.4 had a bit more power and the car just handled better. I too commute to work, it's a 108 mile trip for me. I LOVE the gas mileage.

On my 08 2LT, I have buttons just above the radio for 1, traction control ( has a lil car swerving on the button ) and 2, fog lights.
