what's happening to the HHR.
Dont forget about the Superbowl commerical with guys washing the hhr. Or the Andy Dick HHhhhhhR promos now that was funny. Left hand side near bottom 56k warning
It sold itself to us!!
We drive past a dealer on the way home everyday and the wife siad she liked it so we went to see it a while later w drove it home. I feel that Gm isn't advertising these very much because they want to avoid the PT overdose that is out on the streets, people will get tired of seeing them and surely wont want to buy one. Also they have probably heard how we owners like the secretness of owning a car that alot of people dont know what it is. Thats why I would not push it in the faces of the public. Over doing a good thing is possible and people like to be mysterious and drive cars that other are unaware of. But what the hell do I know. It's just my

One day I was sitting at the bus stop waiting for my wife. The bus driver had asked her if our car was the one on that "car wash" commercial.
Figures that the memorable commercial would be that one
As for how I found out about the HHR. I think it was a preview or something on the GM Inside News web site.
I did research months later then decided this was the car for me.
My first view of this cool new retro was the GM sketch released in august 2003. You know, the one with the SSR, HHR, and the '49 suburban sitting side by side. Knew as soon as I saw it this was going to be my next purchase for a full on custom treatment. Car and Driver had a small write up shortly thereafter about it, that gave some other details, thus reinforcing my decision to buy one. Saw the first one in person @ cleveland auto show in feb. 2005 along with the cobjob WCC HHR (ever seen it up close?). Looked at the first one delivered to my local dealer the 2nd week in august 2005, went all over it with a magnet to see if any body panels were aluminum (mostly concerned about hatch, our tahoe liftgate is aluminum). Bought my LS in july 06 when they did 0% for 72 months, put 300 miles on it & put it in the garage & started cuttin' it up! Should be the lowest mileage 06 in existence! Can't wait to get it done & get it on the road and to the shows! Dont forget about the Superbowl commerical with guys washing the hhr.
