Who wants to have a scavenger hunt with their HHRs?
Who wants to have a scavenger hunt with their HHRs?
I'm going to propose something to all of you and I'm willing to bet that 50% of you make money on the deal, while others will find a long-lost friend. Your mission (if you decide to accept it) is the following:
Background: I was changing out my brakes last night and was trying to find the special lug-nut tool which I was certain was in the HHR.
After looking everywhere and just about to give up, I thought: "Bet it's behind the back seat. Well, if any of you have tried to get under the seat, you'll find it is impossible to remove as it slides forward on the seat part while you bring the back flat.
So I brought the seat half down and worked my hands under the back of the seat (passenger side) and found 3 batteries, a long-lost flashlight, and my very important lug-nut remover.
I am willing to bet that most of you have hidden finds under that seat. The best bet for getting them out is a 5 to 10 year old helper with small hands. I'm convinced I have even more down there, I just can't get my big hands in between the back floor and the seat.
So, post what you find.

I bet I don't. The smallest thing I carry in my car is a fly rod and it's right here by the back door. I keep my car clean enough on the inside to eat off of. (but don't try it, eating is not allowed and punishable by death)
I took the rear seat out of a '09 HHR at a salvage yard and found Nothing but the carpet under it.
Came home, took my Panels rear storage box out and again found Nothing but the carpet that's supposed to be there.
Installed rear seat. 2 seater panel, into a 5 seater in about an hour.

Their is nothing under mine since no one really rides back there. But I have driven a couple other HHR loaners and they did have a lot of crap in there.
Most cars are like this at the junk yard. Take a Fiero seat out and it is good for $1-$5 in change everytime.

Did this just the other day looking for the dog leash and found a radar detector, gpsmount, lots of balloons from our wedding, and glow stick also from the wedding over a year ago. I was supprised at how much room was under there.
