Eric! Do you wanna go to L.A. with me? Split the fuel cost taking my HHR? Be $250-300/per from Here.

I'd love to, but no can do. Money has been sooo tight this year already, I couldn't even afford to take time off of work. Thanks though.

Best way is 70 to 44 to 40, detour in AZ to Vegas for a couple of days and then on to Cali.

I've done several Hot Rod Power Tours which are about 300 miles per day between venues.

A couple of years ago some one was planning a cross country auto trip. The hassles you have are finding motels along the route where there may be some interesting tourist attractions. http://route40.net/page.asp?n=1 You are looking at about a 3000 mile road trip by a RT-40 map, so you'd be looking at a 10 day trip in one direction. To see sites along the way, add a few more days. Then there is the return home for another week or so. A trip of this magnitude gets pricey and there is a lot of time requirements which many don't have.

Rt 50 is another site for cross country road trips. http://www.route50.com/

Well, as I am planning, it will be a three day trip out there. Running the wheels off at 700 a day. Motels along the way, then a couple days there and come back 3 days. 8-9 days total..
Been talking with SoCal HHR and setting a G2G up at their end.

Why would I want to go to L.A. ?

No offence to those that live there.....

Last trip from west coast to Ohio was just under 4 days in a 75 Dodge van pulling an 8' U-Haul....... "Rust never sleeps"

Idk. I am more looking for someone to fill the passenger seat for company and go to L.A. with me. Half the cost of fuel and a trip to Cali sounds great to me.
