Why We Didn't Buy An HHR

A member of my family needs grab bars above the door windows to get in and out.

We would have bought a 2008 HHR yesterday, IF it had those grab bars.

Since it doesn't, we didn't.

Can anybody please request Chevrolet add them in 2009?

Our PT Cruiser has them above all four doors, and we use them for all sorts of stuff, like tie down anchors, and clotheshooks etc.

Size: 5.6 KB to the site!!! It is odd that there are no OSH's in the HHR.

My wife wouldn't mind having an OS.

I was annoyed that not all the buttons are lit up (windows, etc.) and their placement is a bit low. And the dreaded cup holder location... But not enough to stop me from buying :)

The only time I've ever used those handles is when getting into a very high SUV or riding with a crazy driver. Otherwise, i thought they are pretty useless. I'm sure you could find someone to install them for you!

They never made much sense to me but from zzzhuh posts, I understand and see how someone with a disability would need these. For you older guys or those with cars from the early 50's and before, remember the web handles that hung from the center pillars!
