It sort of looks like a hippo.

I have a motorhome with an enormous cover like that. It looks like an elephant, but I found that if I leave the hood open, but the cover still on, the mice don't build nests in the engine compartment (and it saves the electrical wiring as well).

Hope it doesn't turn out like that guy who wrote in to Click & Clack's Car Talk forum about the mice that made a nest in the heater blower. When he turned on the fan, not only was he overwhelmed by the odor, but little mousie body parts started flying out the vents.

My neighbor claims that dryer sheets repel mice. Has anybody ever heard of this?

Yes, heard it many times. No, they don't work. Only thing I've found that really works is moth balls, IF you can stand the smell and D-con if you can place it where it won't spill all over.

We found with the motorhome that used dryer sheets seem to work best. It could be that the mice don't like "people" scent.
