Yes, they work with leather or cloth. If you click through to our product page you can click the icon that says "Installation Instructions" for some idea of how hard they are to install. I've done it before, it's not too bad. If you can pull a seat out of the car, work with upholstery clips, and basic electrical wiring plus hiding wires in the interior, you should have no problems.
