Has anyone seen any Chrome covers for the XM antenna?

Not that I know of. I guess you could use "chrome" paint, but it isn't really chrome-looking.

Note that there are two different XM antennas. A small plain one and a larger one with a short vertical when the car has both XM and OnStar.

Mine has the small one (no OnStar). It's painted body color, as are the big "glob" base on the front and the rear window washer nub.

The one thing you need to be careful is that you don't block the signal getting to the antenna.

On an XM site I belong to I think they said to avoid metallic paint, as the metal flakes would interfere with the signal.

I saw something of the sort after the fact.

But, I have had absolutely no reception issues after painting my antenna. That was well over a year ago. Color is Dark Silver Metallic.
