2009-2010 airbag recall

PASSENGER AIR BAG WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR
I've had the intermittent air bag light for the last week or so.

I just found this "recall". When I called the dealer, they don't call it a recall though. They call it a "customer satisfaction" something or other. Does anyone know what the difference is?

Anyhow, thank you all again for the great information on this site!

Why don't you ask the dealer ?
When you find out let us know.

They lied! It is a real recall.
To begin you added a digit to the document number it is N14546. Whether it actually applies to you is another story. The OBD codes involved are B0019 & B0020.
Here is a pdf of the document with the letter GM sent to owners of record.

I asked the woman on the phone at the dealer and she didn't know the difference. In the end, it doesn't matter much so I figured I'd ask here where people tend to be very knowledgeable and if nobody had an answer, not worry about it. They're fixing the problem regardless. It was more out of curiosity.

Regarding the number, I was quoting an earlier post and didn't actually put that number in. :) Their number does line up with what I found online at the recall center though:

Whatever the number, they lied. It clearly states that the car is not to leave their facility without the fix regardless of years or mileage at no cost to the owner.

Print the pdf out and present them with the letter.

Since this has nothing to do with this thread I'm moving it to a new one.

Thanks for putting this in the right place. :) Understood on the number.

I set up an appointment for the work to be done next Monday. Thanks to the help here and on youtube, the car has not been to the garage since the recall was issued in 2015. :)

There are 2 places in the documents that very clearly state that if your car is driven onto a GM dealers lot it is not to drive off it without the repair. That sounds really recallish to me.

However, it also says the codes need to be present, your problem may not be the same.

I dropped the car off Sunday night for a Monday recall repair. The light is no longer coming on. :) Thanks, as always, for helping a novice sort this stuff out.
