Airbag harness recall

I had my 09 LS in for a 50k service, and they have a new recall or campaign for an airbag harness replacement. It'll take 15 minutes? Sure, I'll wait....3 hours later I get to work. Apparently when they put the new harness in, the airbag light came on. Some sensors were suddenly out of range, requiring them to solder or re-solder some connections. I found this to be out of the normal course of such a repair, but I was assured no other parts should have to be replaced and that the fix is good. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I didn't receive any notification about it, either. It just popped up when the service writer started writing up the service order. I think it's a new one.

Thanks for the warning.

My SS is parked and I called my GM dealer and he said "bring it in whenever you are ready. There is no time limit for this recall/repair."

That is good because it gives them time to do a few and get the repair down pat.

I just got my notice in the mail today. I am going to call about the recall and see of they have the parts. When I did the ignition recall, they just called when the parts came in and we scheduled it. Couldn't have been easier. Hoope this works the same way on my 2009 HHR SS.
