GM ignition switch settlement

It seems that we are all due a payment.
I got post cards in the mail today with registration numbers for each car.
I have no details that are not presented on the settlement website here: https://www.gmignitionswitcheconomicsettlement.com/

You can register now with the unique number on the post card, no need to find your old VIN.

Thanks. Looks like you can't file until March 18, 2021. We'll see where this goes.

I've only gotten one decent amount from a class action lawsuit over the years. I can't recall exactly how much it was but in the early 2000s I got enough from a Microsoft CA to get a decent printer via a voucher. Generally you don't get too much from CA suits.

March 18th is the proposed deadline, it may get pushed later and later. The way it is worded is confusing at first, more reading tells more of the story.

$121 million, we should get at least 35 cents...

Hellsrotrod may make out like a bandit, he's owned so many.

The best I ever got was for Sylvania head lights, for 2 purchases I think I got $30 (about what 1 set cost).

Yea, I got about #2 bucks long ago from the Briggs & Stratton class action lawsuit for them advertising higher HP numbers than the engines actually had..

Lawyers probably got great payments.

However, my wife got $100,000 taxable when she got fired for being over 50 in the largest age discrimination class action settlement ever. The problem is they paid as back salary in a lump sum, so we had to pay tax as that years income. Talk about bracket jumping!

Not all nickels and dimes.
