I even asked the dealer if I could upgrade the stereo + get the subwoofer but because I have the auto volume thingy they said it can't be done.. Oh well, it's still an SS!!

Early 09 it was still an option drivers side.
A month or two later after production started in 09 they made it standard on the drivers side and optional on the passenger.
A few months later in 09 they made it standard on both sides.
As they kept increasing the price they made more things standard.
My 08 has a performance seat on the driver side but I changed it myself. Not hard but can get pricey if you do not have a discount.

08 SS could only have the performance seat as an option on the driver side.
Early 09 it was still an option drivers side.
A month or two later after production started in 09 they made it standard on the drivers side and optional on the passenger.
A few months later in 09 they made it standard on both sides.
As they kept increasing the price they made more things standard.

I was just behind the curve on that one the whole way.
I wanted them on both sides but the price I had on a 08 was not worth waiting. With the discounts I get I was able to convert the passenger seat for about $170.

Believe me I was upset as I bought an 08 with the driver seat as an option only to see a month later in an 09 as a standard seat while then they offered the passenger seat as an option.
