The Panel is only a 2 seater and the AA5 is a 5 Seater. The MS3 is a good ride, either car's a good choice. I was suprised where I read the HHRSS had a very similar skidpad performance as the MS3. The HHRSS should have better cargo space for drums and such. I have 1800 miles on my SS 5sp with no issues. Where in MA are you? I am in Andover, but currently in London on vacation:) (some cool rides in the UK)

325xi is no contest. My wife's BMW is a nice car, handles, and stops great, but when I get in it after driving my SS, it feels like th BMW has a sock and some underwear in the intake, it is scary slow on acceleration. Obviously a new M3 is a different story, but also gets about 16 mpg if you drive it like it deserves.

I'm sure you will find problems with the Mazda if you check out their board. Most people are on these boards because they have had problems. I had a 04 Colorado for almost 5 years without a problem and know 6 other people who also have Colorados or did and never had a problem yet if you visit the Yahoo site on them you would think all of them are bad because those are the people who are having problems and some of them have brought it on themselves. Look at the all mighty Camry, CR gave them a bad report (unheard of) and the Tundra had the gov. on their back for the hesitating and stalling that have killed a few people. When a company builds thousands and thousands of cars there are going to be a few problems and even a lemon or two. Anyway, it has a 5 year 100K waranty so there is no problem.

Does anyone know if these same issues are trickling around in the '09s? As far as i know you can get brembos on the 09 so i would have to think that would correct any brake issues but the tranny freaks me out a little I currently have a mazdaspeed protege and this makes me think perhaps i should go with the mazdaspeed 3 whats a guy to do!

I would say the biggest defect seems to be parts availability. It doesn't seem that there is one consistant problem that all of the '08 SS are having other than if you do have a problem, GM doesn't have the parts in stock yet.

the main on's i'm hearing is clutch sensor, boost guge, and tranny noise. brakes on a couple. my problem was random and a craftsmanship issue.

i live in worcester county massachusetts. I think what im gonna do is wait till spring anyways considering new england weather is fast approaching. and then get something in the spring. I gotta say the ss is definately nicer inside, and i absolutely hate the fact you cannot put an aftermarket stereo in the ms3 thats a big turn off to me so now i play the wait game

These bulletin boards are here to share these horror stories, with help to show how they are resolved. My only complaint about this board (nobody's fault) is that there is not enough repair & replace postings YET. These cars are too new for these kinds of posts. I gues I'm more used to BB's for 20 year old cars, where ANY problem you have, someone else has had before, and can guide you through, or at least let you know what questions to ask.

the problem is,the dealer will fix stuff and hand you the car back.i ask questions,i want the work order, what was ordered and sometimes i want to see the old part for inspection. right now all we can do is go to the dealer and make them tell you every detail and report here.

diskullman, i feel where you are coming from .
