Wink 2010 HHR SS mods advise

I just purchased a 2010 HHR SS Victory Red auto with 15K miles from the original owner. The seller (Forum member hytzh8r) had it listed here and in the local Craiglist in Knoxville, TN.

My previous HHR was Silver 2006 LT fully loaded which I purchased new in 2006 and sold in 2008.

I was really looking for a Silver SS but settled with the Victory Red. The seller kept his SS in excellent condition. I drove 1 1/2 hours to look at it, test drove it and purchased on the spot.

I am looking for suggestions on an aftermarked muffler, air intake, and rear sway bar. I really do not want to pay the $585 to $600 for the Magnaflow or Gibson cat back sytems.

I came across the axle back exhaust made by CGS for $284.00 shipped. Any pro/cons on this exhaust system?

How about the K&N intake kit for $259.99?

I am also looking at the Turbo Tech Racing Sway Bar for $169.99.

I may go with the GM turbo upgrade but that will have to wait until next year mods budget

Don't waste your money on exhaust or intake.

Get a downpipe instead. Stay catted if you need to for inspections. Aftermarket DP through stock exhaust sounds great.

Cool

No inspections requred here in TN. I am not familiar with downpipe upgrades (or what that is), I guess I need to explore that option.
Thanks

I'll keep it simple. Read my signature area and look at my gallery photos. Might give you some ideas.

That's a good first choice. So what will be second? I would start saving for the turbo upgrade. It really is a good mod and more noticeable improvement for the automatic trans.

The stock muffler does sound great. I had the K&N intake and got rid of it. Nothing wrong with a rear sway bar, but our cars handle really well on their own. Motor mounts are gonna be my next purchase from TTR. Turbo Hearse is right, get a downpipe as well.

Yeah Tyler, these cars do handle well on their own,but the addition of the sway bar(TTR for the OP) well give it that extra little edge.Tightens it up and reduces some of the stock body roll. Just enough added handling for the daily driver.
If you're going to hit the track, then something stiffer might be a benefit.
