Wow, does this thing look fun!
I saw this guy last night at Madison on the Hot Rod Power Tour. My pictures weren't that good as it was dark by that time, so I'm posting pics from a previous day on the Tour.
It has a supercharged vesion of the 2.0L Ecotec motor. Very cool car, and it really screams! Of course when you have a 1,300 lb car it doesn't take as much power to do that! 0-60 is 2.8 sec. and it runs the 1/4 mi. at 11.2 at 119 mph!

here is the rear shot of this hand-built car... He said the ride isn't too bad, although the seats are just plastic! Mentioned the worst thing is the waves in the pavement as it just kind of makes you sick after a while!

Very nice guy, and he gave me his web site address. There is lots of other really great info on the vehicle, it's specs, and how/where it is built. It is:

Oh yeah... This guy gets the "Sickest ride of the night" award!
It is one mean Nash Metropolitan with a huge big-block stuffed under it. It rattled my teeth while we sat at the stoplight!
No, I could not get him to get on it... I'm sure he gets those requests all the time! There was litterally less than 16" of axle between those huge steam-roller tires! Enough room for the wheelie bars, which I'm sure have served their purpose..

Found another video of this car from Motor Trend Mag's test drive. Pretty cool to listen to that supercharged Ecotec whine as he's going through the gears!
I can't imagine the feeling of pulling 1.3 G's when pulling corners on a road course! This thing is like a big HP go-cart!

What's the Greddy Profec for? Is this setup beyond the mappable limits of the stock ECM? If yes, for the "street" 20g upgrade you've mentioned in other posts (that you're currently working on for the HHR SS), will we have to cheat the computer with the Greddy as well? Or will your 20g upgrade be a bolt on + retune?
Will we use one with the 20G? This has yet to be determined, but it is a possibility.
Profec is a boost controller that allows multiple boost level selection from the driver's seat. It's not neccesarily relevant to the LNF engine as found in HHR, as LNF has its own boost control system.
