Well, methanol has 62,800 BTUs per gallon, which is about half that of gasoline. You could derive methanol by extracting the methane gas from your... uh... problem. These aren't hard numbers, but, to get a gallon of methanol, you're probably looking at 275# of your wife's chili, and about 60 cases of beer. Tack onto that, the cost of 741 rolls of Tums and you'll see that it's not a very efficient way to make a lackluster fuel. You probably ought to stick to gasoline and just enjoy the chili in smaller doses.

for accelaeration use high octane.
higher the rating the tighter the cumbustion, or explosion in the chamber

Octane is a rating of how fast the fuel burns. The higher the octane, the slower it burns.
