Hmm. And those Cobalt guys that were trying to tell me that I should be able to keep up with them on an autocross course... It wasn't just my body weight and skills (lacking?). They had gearing on me!

Sometimes shorter gearing works in your favor, but when you run out of 2nd, and have to shift (up and back down), that explains things for me nicely. Maybe I'll figure out where the Minis (MCS) beat all of us, in my spare time this winter. For now, though, I think I will stay home until I get something more favorable under the rules.

Too much weight and shorter gearing makes it sound like cubic dollars would be needed to win with this car...
