I went and got a quote for a local tranny shop to change a customer supplied clutch and they came back with a price of $650.

Turbotech emailed me back the dealer quotes it at 8 hours to do and he said its not hard to do. But he is a GM service tech so for us who are a shade tree mechanic lets just say we'll leave it alone...LOL

You can get the factory service manuals for the HHR from Helm, Inc.

If they are out of stock just keep checking or call as they should get more in.

Yea, I know it is expensive for the set but you do get a lot for that. It is a three volume set and each book is about the size of a huge phone book. About everything you would want to know about the HHR is in there.
