Aeroforce Gauge results...Eric you better read this!!!

Having had the opportunity to meet Eric last week when he was in port, we ended up going for a ride in my SS. He was telling me about the numbers he was getting with the gauge set on Boost and HP, so happens that is what mine is set on for now. So Eric tells me he has seen as high as (well I can't remember what he said) but I tell him, I'll beat those numbers and I think I might have tonight.....I know there is a boost thread going on, but I did not want to highjack that thread, so here we are. As you know I have the Auto with the Hahn Tune and very happy with it, sure it can run better, but it runs just fine now.....
On the way home tonight on the pike I had some strecthes where there was no one around me for a 1/2 mile or better , so I conducted 3 passing gear test with the trans in "D" , two of the test were @ 60 mph and the last test was @ 65 mph. Simple test, just punch it at that speed and see the results. Now keep in mind that you need 3 pairs of eyes to look at all of the gauges at once and record what they are showing. The Aeroforce gauge changes quickly

Test #1 @ 60 mph boost..... 20.1 psi HP 269
Test #2 @ 60 mph boost..... 20.7 psi HP 271
Test #3 @ 65 mph boost..... 22.6 psi HP 275

outside temp 31 degrees and very cold
engine temp 201 -203 degrees

I still have alot to learn about turbos, but from what I read here is that when it is colder out, you don't need that much boost to produce the HP, and that your boost will be lower in colder weather, well if that is true, then I just went against that theory or fact, whatever it is.....for the weather being as cold as it is, I think my boost #'s are pretty good
And from talking to Eric, we think that the HP #'s on the gauge are net #'s. if that is so, my HP #'s are also very good....
The SS does run well to say the least.....

And for Eric, have to tell you he is a great guy, took me on tour on his ship, very amazing to say the least. Thanks Eric, be talking to you soon......Tom

Hey y'all Lisa here - Eric's other half.

Thought I'd like to add to the thread.. I know humidity plays a good part in the way a vehicle performs. That said, and I agree, the Tom's numbers probably a little higher due to the LACK of humidity. I know even running my 5.3L '02 Silverado I can tell a great difference.

Eric also has a performance tune from a local, who managed to bring the car from the stock 260Hp to 305Hp.

hey lisa, was that 305 at the crank??? eric, did you get another dyno run??? you were 2-3 hp more than me. anyways, eric,i have a business offer for you. call me when you see this. the areoforce is scary dead on. eric a/f ratio's were the same as the dyno ratio's. also keep in mind, eric and i was not on the best dyno here in texas lol. our cars was 1 foot from a brick wall with not the best air temps. congrats on the numbers though.
