Smile Airhog Air Filter

Anyone know the part # of the Fram Airhog filter for the 2.2/2.4 engines? K&N is WAY overpriced!

I believe the Airhog has been discontinued. A check at www.fram.com shows no new Airhog product info. I also saw that Amazon.com was blowing them out at 50% or more off (there's also an Airhog rebate, so if you're interested, you can actually make money on the deal... filters are $8-15 each... get to $25 and Amazon ships free, rebate is $20 per filter, up to 2... net is money in your pocket and filters in your hand. I've done it twice this year, and received rebate checks within a few weeks each time).

Yeh....this is what I'm getting at! They're dirt cheap compared to the over-priced K&N. I've looked on Amazon, but can't find anything for the HHR. Have you got the Fram part #?

I believe the Airhog has been discontinued.
... as in... they're not making the product any more, and since there's no part number on their site lookup for the HHR, they won't even be found in anyone's closeout.

Nothing with the word Fram get's put on any of my cars not even my lawn mower. You ever seen a 454 melt down because the oil filter came apart. I have more than once and they were Fram's. Luckily not on my car.

+1

Fram has slid from a once respected manufacturer to purveyors of corporate junk. Their oil filters are a joke.

K&N and other oiled cotton filters are expensive because they never need replacing. Be advised that GM is aware of overly oiled filters tendency to gunk up the MAF sensors, and have used this to deny warranty coverage, particularly on automatic transmissions whose programming was thrown off by MAF errors.
