Have you ever seen an air intake box like this one on a SS? IFf so, please tell me about it.

 

Looks like someone put a carbon fiber applique on it.

 

The bottom half looks original. Top half, hard to tell what we're looking at, pretty poor quality pic. Looking at the pic in the actual ad, it may actually be the original gray lid. It's just a dark, low quality pic. The air hose leading to the turbo is not original, should only have 1 clamp.


Donbrew, I think you're seeing the sunlight coming through the grill.

Smooth black plastic. 2 clamps on the air tube.

The pic isn't all that clear but it looks like K&N. Just a lid with a higher dome to replace the stock lid, makes more room for the reusable filter inside.The kit may have come with a charge pipe, IDK the history.

Anyone notice the yellow paint pen on the fuse and relay box? Ususlly that is something done my wreckingyards... Maybe the lidncame from there? Maybe the whole engine? What does it say? "Trans Fill Plug?" Idk ...
