CGS SS Air Intake

Has anyone tried this intake yet. I would like to get some feedback before purchasing one. Has anyone seen anyone else that is making one yet?

Thanks Guys,

Charles (ivtech) was the guinea pig for this. I'm sure he'll be chiming in soon.

I would wait for a cold air intake before you do anything, if you do anything.

Tomorrow morning the SS is going back to have a finished intake installed and dynos done. They will have it til Tuesday morning.
They would have been earlier but the SS was in body shop then last week I had medical problems and was unable to drive.

ditto....

The engine bay is extremely hot (I was surprised )

When they do the dyno make sure the hood is closed. Wait until the car is warmed up and do a pass with/ without (no glory passes)

I picked up the SS today with the new intake.
I would to thank ANR HHR (Randy) for picking me up and taking me back over.
This is my opinion of what I felt and heard.
There is more torque steer I hit the throttle coming up a hill and it really snapped to the right. I could feel the pull while on the throttle.
When first starting up and the hood open it is very loud till the vacuum goes to around 15 in Hg. At cruising speed it does not sound much louder than stock when putting the foot still not very loud.

Thanks Guys,
I wonder how well it actually works. There is no shielding around the air cleaner so I don't see how it will draw any cool air. It looks to be just sitting on top of the motor.
