Anyone know where to get a Shift Light?

I have been searching forums and the internet for some info on a shift light and have come up empty. There are plenty of shift lights available that work with most pre '99 ignition systems, but I can't find anything that works with modern ECU's. I have seen newer Acura's, and a photo of a Cobalt with one, so there must be someway to do it.

Some, including MSD, have pickups that clip over the coil wires, so they'll work with just about anything (though probably not the L61 cassette).

Thanks for the tip. Ordered one of these: http://www.msdignition.com/2006/06-22.htm
I'll post the results after I give it a try.

Here is the MSD unit installed. Works great, i am using ot with a Summit Racing shift light since I already have one. This MSD pickup allows you to use any shift light, but since you are just picking up one cylinder, you need to set your light for 1 cylinder operation, or for 4 cylinder operation divide by 4 (setting of 1500 rpm = 6000 engine rpm). If you can only do 4 cyl setting, you are likely stuck with 400 rpm increments of adjustment though. The other options suggested in this thread look pretty good too. The second photo shows where I installed my light. If you do something similar, note that the clearance is tight, so it pretty well has to located EXACTLY where I put it to clear the "glovebox" and other internal dash pieces, so be careful when boring the hole. A better option might be a single bright LED in a bezel. (BTW Because of the photo distortion, it looks crooked, but it is not, it comes out perfectly straight).

Agree. I'm running one in my SRT-4. Great gauge to have.

When I looked at the aeroforce, they sent me this msg.Looks like a great unit, but I already had the other light....

"yes, (we have HHR SS application). the part # is CNx01. where the x represents the display color. 1=blue,2=white,4=red,5=green. You can go to the order page on our website to order.

The Raptor is pretty nice, tiny, self contained, lots of colors and bright as hell. Works with just about anything AFAIK.
