I did a little ergonomic test with my wife to see how an armrest would work on the passenger side. In my case it will not be an issue, that's why I'm going to do it. It will be easily reversed if required for some reason. I don't see the need for myself but I do want my navigator/co-pilot to be comfortable.

The parts should be here today.

Looking forward to your progress. May have to combine this with c2vette's "performance passenger seat cushion" mod, for the ultimate passenger seat upgrade

Putting a armrest on the passenger seat only would work pretty well, IMHO, because my arm can rest there pretty comfortably when no passenger is in the car, I found this out while driving a HHR rental.

The 25 HP is not a problem for me.......I am old and drive that way anyway!
I have driven both and you are right the 5 speed is much quicker........
Except, I think my clutching days are over.....

if somebody would come up with a adjustable armrest..we all would be better off!! Personally I think it rides too low..someday when I have the time I will be looking into this

Armrest update. As of today all the parts I need are here except for one (the pivot bolt). It should be here tomorrow and we'll give this thing a try.

More info as it happens.

Fantastic! So is the hole for the pivol bolt already in the side of the seat frame, or are you going to have to drill and tap one for it? That could be a risky job. Good luck with the install!
