anybody know if i forget to lock my car up after i leave the car will it automatically lock up after a certain time?

 

It will not lock until you hit the lock button on your keyless or in the car. Unless I am missing something.

 

ok im up on the fourth floor and didnt feel like going down to lock her as im pretty sure i forgot. thought id check first as i know some cars do that auto lock thing...atleast i got a better parking spot out of it

 

Depending on how far away you are, you might be able to lock it with the fob.

I can remote start mine from my office, which is across the street from the parking garage where my critters spend their "workdays" on the seventh floor.

 

ya i just parked far.... lol being lazy

 

If you're subscribed to OnStar you can just call it in.

 

I have only experienced Auto Lock with after market alarms. I had one on my S10 that the alarm would self activate after a few minutes and lock the doors

 

I sometimes lock mine, from my room inside the house, about a hundred feet away, no line of sight, and through three walls. so far has worked good, every time. I have started mine with "auto start" from the same room. "Moon"

 

My recollection is it can be set if you read through the part about how to set up all the options using the steering wheel buttons. I don't think it's turned on by default.
