a big surprise
I had a shock & surprise today Sep 15, one day after I turned 68. What was it? I saw my first SS on the street besides my two. A silver one. I think I'll mark my calender: 9:15-11 1:30PM . I saw them on a lot for sale, but thats it. Chevy did a terrible job of marketing them. Never saw them advertised on TV, not like the 2011 Mustang. In fact Ford did such a good job advertising the 2011 on TV I bought one. so now my wife says she wants to sell her SS and buy a red Mustang. Nothing in this world is forever.

GM could not market much in the 06-09 era. They had no money.
I think if you look now and too late for the SS that GM is now back to marketing the Camaro and even the Corvette for the first time in years.
Lets put it this way. Chevy pretty much had enough money to market the trucks that kept them alive and the Malibu that also tappered off at the end.
The HHR SS was just built at a bad time for attention. By the time they had money production was winding down.
