Bow Tie

What is the best way to recolor the Bow tie emblem on the front and rear of my SS? I would like to change it from gold to red,

Thanks,

mblandsr (Mike)

Easiest way is to mask off an paint. That way your won't damage it by removing it.

I used this stuff. Lots of vendors on eBay carry similar products.

I used Plasti Dip on both front and rear bowties and it worked great.

You can p/up colored (self-adhesive) vinyl also lots of places. Cut it to size yourself, very simple.

Also good time to add some vinyl eyebrows.

I did a little research on Plasti-Dip, that stuff looks like it would be pretty awesome! I'm sure I've got a future project that might include some Plasti-Dip... like my front grill?

I have used it for a couple of different projects like my bowties and the stripe, (which has since been removed and you cant tell it was ever there). The cans are cheap and there is basically no prep work other than being cleaned and taped off.

I went with a black billet bowtie from ebay to replace the factory plastic one.
