I got the SS back and so far so good! The dealer was courteous and professional during the whole process. I will stick with these guys.

I've searched, read, searched some more and I'm still not sure if I have the proper TSB# that I need for my car.

I have a 2008 SS w/auto tranny with the turbo upgrade kit installed.

The brakes act as described in 09-05-22-001

Is 09-05-22-001 the correct # at this point or is there a newer upgraded TSB # for those of us w/stage kit installed?

Same TSB, they just have to use a different program when programming occurs.

My dealer still has not been able to figure why my pump is not working after the GMTU turbo upgrade.
They reflashed it twice with what they said was the proper number.
I still have the same issue now with the brakes that I had before they installed the vaccum pump .
Do you think it is possibly the wrong flash # that they are putting in that is not commanding the pump to come on?
is it possible that when they call gm for the reflash number gm is not realizing that my car has the vaccum pump add on?
Or do you think this is the case of maybe wear the postiive wire for the pump that is installed into the fuse block could have by coincidence become disconnected during the GMTU install.

If you or anyone has the intructions for the 09-05-22-001 tsb that would be great.
There is only two wires from the pump one that is grounded and one going to the fuse block just a guess that maybe they connected to the wrong part of the fuse block.
Either way I really do not want to bring this back to my dealer and let them keep it overnight to test it in the morning when I am sure that this pump activates on every key start.

Let me take a guess at this.
During the GMTU install, the tech was working on swapping out the lower t-map sensor. From what you stated, he had to redo this because he forgot to trim the tab off the sensor.
All this work took place in the same area where the assist pump is mounted at the oil pan.
I would be looking for the problem to be in this area.
Either a hot wire could be pulled loose or the unit is not getting a good ground. Double check the wiring to the assist pump.

Just my 2 cents guess.

Thanks fireman good idea.
Just wish someone knew when the positive wire should be live
Example first 10 seconds
Or as long as the engine is running etc.

I don't know the answer of how long but:
If it is a set time(i.e. 10,20,30 secs) them it would either have a timed relay connection or be time controlled by either the ecm or bcm.
If your hot wire goes straight to the fuse block, then I would assume that it does not draw power through a relay and,or timer.
Just my opinion.

Yeah it is fixed

Well my dealer came through for me again bigtime
I had to drive around for a day in a 2012 malibu rental again
Nice car but after Having the GMTU added it really feals like there is no power after say 20 mph when driving the malibu
Also I never realized how easy it is to get in and out of the hhr's until getting out of the much lower sitting malibu.

My dealer told me that in order to get the vacuum assist pump back working they had to call GM tech (TAC) and as they said they luckily got a hold of tech who was really up on the LNF cars and mods.
The tech said he has seen this before where the recommended tune for the turbo upgrade will not command the vacuum assist add on pump to come on so the tech told them " give me until tommorow am and I will have a tune made for the car that will work."
I half jokingly told my service writer and service manager to tell them to add another 5psi to the tune while they where in there
they installed it and all is well.
As much As I like to go in and talk to my service writer and service manager and Parts manager at my CHEVY dealer i told them I hope I do not have to see them for a while
If anyone is in Central NY and wants awesome service done by employees who go above and beyond and really care I would highly recomend Burdick Chevrolet located in Drivers Village.
I never fully realized how much better the HHR SS stops with the vacuum assist pump working.
Not only do the brakes work so much better in the morning but even after driving and starting the car when it is warmed up the brakes take a little less effort to stop.
Lovin the HHR SS even more now with the Turbo upgrade and the brakes to stop the 290 horsepower

I bet that you have calibration #, 126333832 now ...

They dropped the ball, & loaded the non-pump
calibration the 1st time. It happens...

It all worked out in the end.
But I still wished that you could've hooked up with someone up your way,
weeks ago, with HPTuner, as they could've done a quick read, to show you that you had the wrong calibration loaded.
