Caliper question

Hey everyone, I just got a full caliper set from a Cobalt with brembos because I intend to get them all powder coated. When I got home I noticed that the rear calipers were not the same as the one on the HHR. So my options are to switch the rear calipers to the cobalt ones which means I need new pads and rotors or find a set of calipers from another car that shares the same rear calipers.

So my question is, do any other cars share the same rear calipers as us like an LT with discs in rear or is it just HHR SS that has these rear calipers and I'm out 50 bucks.

LT's didn't come with rear discs. Drum brakes in rear on HHR LS and LT.
Are there other cars that have the same rear Disc/calipers as the HHR SS ? Not sure. You could look up the part numbers for yours and do a cross reference to find out if other models use the same parts. Or get the parts from any year HHR SS since 2008-2010 models all had the same rear disc setup.

What's wrong with the rear calipers that are on it now?

My question is. I never heard of Brembos on the rear, only the front.
Educate me if I'm wrong.

Why not just get Cobalt brackets?

Yep. IF you have rear discs, you will need new brackets, but they are cheap. That may be all you need. AutoZone and the like have them.

If you have rear drums, then you have more work, but people here have done the conversion. Your dream doesn't need to die so fast. Just figure out what you you need to finish it up right.
