Wrong Wrong Wrong!!!
1: The rake of a vehicle, a wing, and a chin spoiler, DO NOT and I'll repeat myself DO NOT add downforce they may however limit lift!
2: Lowering air pressure is in fact a great way of increasing the tire patch on the pavement therefore increasing traction FOR DRAG RACING ONLY do this on a road corse and you'll peal a tire off the rim. To much tire flex is the enemy of road racers. More air pressure limits tire flex.

If Engineering 101 was too early in the day for you to attend regularly, you might want to take a look at a picture book... preferrably one with F1 cars in it. Or, maybe just a simple tutorial from Wikipedia will suffice.
So a 1970 superbird at speed with monster wing on azz end added no down force. wrong wrong wrong , it glued the azz end of the car DOWN to the track. At least thats what i've thought for ever.
Mr. wizard , how is this so ?
