Competition Seat Owners and Testers
I believe that the answer to why some folks love the perf seat and others hate it lies completely in your driving position. I prefer to drive with the seat way back, so that with the wheel all the way down, I can just reach the top of the wheel with a closed grip. When depressing the clutch, my leg is almost completely extended, and while cruising along I rest my foot on the pad. I moved the seat forward just for the heck of it, pulled my left leg up leaned it to the left, and sure enough that insert was uncomfortable. So the point is for those wondering what to order, the answer is pretty simple: consider your normal (favorite) driving position.
I'll have to check but I think I have my seat about half way forward and then I recline the seat back quite a bit. This puts the contact on lower back as my shoulders do not touch the seat (this is due to a back problem). I will try moving the seat back and see what it does. Thanks c2vette.
