Cool Video of HHR SS being tested in Germany

Vidoe of an HHR SS being tested at the famous Nurburgring race track in Germany

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOtAouKf_A0

here is another link of laps posted at this track note the HHR SS made the list at 8.43.I am still ultra amazed at how well my SS handled when I first drove it and it still amazes me
Which appears to be faster than the cobalt SS tc
maybe just a better driver?

This is an awesome video! I only wish they had a speedometer reading to go with it

I agree it would be really cool to see the speedo as they are driving
the only reason I found this video is because I found another video of Bob Lutz saying that the HHR ss did the lap in 8.46 and said a zo6 did it in 7 something seconds

Yeah that video was shot back in 08, four years ago. After I bought mine in 09, I found this video, and put it in "my favorites' folder. "Moon"

If anyone wants to download the video, go to www.realdownloader.com - its a plugin for IE etc. that gives a pop up in the upper right corner of YouTube videos that you can click on, and download the video. Works very well, and also handles a lot of non-YouTube vids.

From what i have read this video was shot just before the intro of the hhr ss thanks for the info on the download whopper, now If i could just get rid of my Google redirecting bug I would be In good shape

I thought anyone who likes to go around corners would enjoy that video
I would love to make a lap on that track with a few different cars

here is another interesting video to maybe give a comparison to the HHR ss
Not sure what the car is maybe someone else can figure it out from the language
but this is an interesting video. This car (in the video) ran the lap time almost identical to the HHR SS and as you can see in the video he passes a few cars pretty easily.

here is a pic of a Lotus that posted almost identical times on this track as the HHR SS can you imagine driving this lotus and having an HHR hanging with you WOW!

and here is a picture of possibly the type of car in the video above

Judging from the interior shots, he spent most of the time in fourth gear, what's up with that? Lots of tire squeal and nudges on the fringe of the track too. Can't imagine he was doing a very fast speed with the control problems he looked to be having. But then this was taken a while ago. Lots of turns though. He could probably have used one of those TTR anti sway bars on the rear end.

I remember when this first came out, I wondered why he didn't use the no lift shift feature.
