Not useless. Air still gets into the bottom half and cools the entire thing.

But I'll most likely be enlarging my bumper opening anyways for looks hahahaha

it's not smaller, it's SHORTER. the ZZP is longer to make up for being shorter, so technically it's bigger than the CS & holds more air.

only the bottom half of your intercooler is getting cooled by the air coming into the bumper opening. the top half isn't getting touched. hot air rises. so the top half of your intercooler is filled with hot air as were the bottom half is being cooled. don't waste your time/money/sanity with cutting up the bumper and crash beam, just get a better intercooler.

Your probably right rally, but I doubt it, with the energy transfer rate of 45,312 btu/hr/sqft for aluminum. All we need is some intake temp reading to be sure ?? Till then it's good to replace the plastic ends.

The CS is more than enough for the LNF. Even if it is semi blocked. I'd be fine with the stock IC but it's ugly and it blows up on people.

The ZZP isn't necessarily any better than the CS. It's just shaped differently. Both perform adequately enough for anything that anyone on this site is going to throw at them.

Edit: But if you REALLY want to continue to argue about it. Be my guest. The performance differences are minimal at best, if any. I got the CS because I found a good deal on it. If I would have found the ZZP for the same price I would have jumped on that too but I prefer the look of the CS.

A big 10-4 on that. I love seeing the polished end tanks too

No arguments needed guys. The fact is that the ZZP IC provides the most surface area for air cooling through the facia. The CS ic is better looking though imo. I also like the look of the end tanks. Looks badazz!

Those of you with the CS ic, what did you have to do to make it fit ? Any modifications at all that need to be done for a perfect fit?

No modifications needed. It fits really really tight. Just when you think it won't fit....it does. No worries about it falling off or getting loose. With the hardware installed and how snug it fits between the crash bar...it'll never go anywhere

I adjusted the brackets that hold the condenser to make a 1/8" clearance.

No modifications needed. You can see in the pictures I posted that it mounts on the rear side of the crash bar bracket with ease. It's a tight fit though lol.

Since I got mine used it came with no mounting hardware so I just took the bolts out that are in those holes and turned them around and tightened them from the rear. The crash bar is still held on by the bolts on either end

i agree, the CS looks amazing but the zzp looks factory, only better! much better, thats why i keep going back and forth because i like the look of the CS but i dont like that it comes up behind the bumper, anyway thats where my train horn is mounted, im really worried about fittment with the ZZP and my horn, i might be looking for a different place and the other place that i had was where the ZZP intake goes so thats out of the question too! darn, i need to come up with something
