Daily driver SS

How many DD are there out there, I mean snow, sleet DDs. i seem like the only SS out there. When I bought it in 2010 the dealer asked me " you putting this away". I told him it was going to become a 100 mile a day commuter, he look at me like ??. So far 20000 heading into my 2nd winter. did I do the right thing, some of the weather I take her though, makes me second quess myself a lot lately.

Till I traded last week at 70k.....my SS was used for everything from commuting to hunting Whether it was mud or 6" of snow.....it endured without issue.

mine is my DD, but i don't put her through a lot. i am from the central coast of CA, nothing more than heavy rain to put up with there, and now I am in MS temporarily, my wife drove the SS out from CA. sitting at about 39K miles, doing just fine.

Been pumpin 80-100 miles every work day since 2008, she will crack 100,000 this winter - Average mileage is 28.5 lifetime (never hit the rest button) I can still let it off the leash and smile all the way home...

I'm still on the CA central coast with mine doing DD duty. Yep, while I don't face too much extreme weather here (except for the 60mph gusts that blew almost all my fences down week before last ), the SS is still pressed into use for all types of hauling both inside and up on the roof racks. Such a great utility vehicle that has been a ball to drive these past 43K miles...this one is fairly pampered and not being beat but it's not being put up in a plastic bubble either.

My SS has handled snow with never a problem! It is my DD.

A lifted '96 F150 with a massaged power train sits in the driveway ready for for that once in a lifetime storm, but the HHR SS does so well the challenge so far is keeping the battery charged on the F150!
