i'm guessing either paint or vinyl. I'm going the vinyl route with mine. I just blacked out both of my bowties with vinyl and then i'll be making a little template to cutout ones for the centercaps. I did the trimming and cutting for the bowties right on the car, but i don't have an edge for the exacto on the centercaps, so i'll make em off of the car and lay them on.

I want to see someone try this first before I go ahead with it. I guess someone could do a photoshop as a test case. I generally like the gold chevy bowties, but it doesn't really match the red car.

on edit - here's a poor attempt using Paint:

there are some people on here with red bowties, i can't remember who though.

if you go to an auto shop get some red vinyl, and lay it on there. that way it is temporary and you can see if you like it or not. My Vinyl has been on for about a week now and it is holding up fine, even with the pounding it for from bugs on the expressway.

My tips are, take your time, clean the gold part really good first and get a really sharp xacto for the trimming. I could peel of my back one since i didn't get the corner as well as i wanted and do a how to for everyone. if i set up the tripod i could do a video of all of it...

I wonder what the yellow bowtie woould look like with the red? I had yellow overlays on my red Grand Am a few years back.

I've debated debadging mine. HAven't quite decided about it yet.

The Overlays look great and I would certainly want the same color. Does anyone have any pics of any of the darker blue overlays? Wheels and otherwise?
