Disappointed after Trifecta tune and Tmap upgrade

I just got done installing the 3 bar Tmap sensors then loaded the budget Trifecta tune. No codes. I found a back road and dumped it from a standing start in Comp mode which is how I chose to activate the tune. The tires spun a little but not tire shredding which I was hoping for. I also noticed that the boost never got above 14 psi from 0 to 100. Shouldn't I be seeing above 20 psi? If defiantly feels faster but not 300 HP faster. Only mod I have a is a gutted 2nd cat. I read some people activate their tune by hitting comp mode twice. Should I also be doing that? I also noticed that it seems to be on all the time rather than being selectable. I still see about 14 psi max boost when comp mode isn't selected. I used to only see 10 psi max boost. I don't blame the tune. I'm just wondering if there is a problem with the turbo or piping.

Check and see if they used the cruise control button on accident... I would say you should definitely see 22+psi... and if you are stock and never been tuned, its a completely different car with the trifecta tune. it shouldn't only feel a little faster, its a pretty big boost in power

Thanks for the advice. I ran out of daylight to play with it more. After the load it asked me if I wanted to make the tune transparent to other systems. I said yes and it went through another download. Was that a mistake?

I believe I said yes to that question too...but can't remember for sure...My tune is off when the orange light for the cruise control (on the steering wheel)is on. Tune on=light off. But I distinctly remember asking for the T/C button and going thru the same thing you did but then I played with the CC button for a minute and I figured out that they must have changed it on accident...But it doesn't bother me

Mine is on the cruise button too, and tire shredding is what it will do, prepare to buy more of them, soon as you get it turned on....

You select comp mode by hitting the button twice quickly. If you hit the button again, it exits comp mode. Not sure exactly what you mean by hitting comp mode twice. It's either on or not, you can't double set it.
(disregard if I'm reading your post wrong)
Also if you are really in comp mode, you should see Launch Control in the DIC when the car is not rolling.
14 psi boost is about what a stock SS puts out. Give or take a couple pounds depending on altitude, air quality, etc.
Mine was 14 stock. 19-20 now with the GMTU.
If you only had 10 psi max before, I would suspect a leak in the system.
Also, if you have the RPD you can check your hp/torque numbers. After the GMTU, I showed about 280ish hp and 310ish torque numbers.

edit: Duh. Just noticed you have a 2010, so you do have the RPD.

Hold the T/C button down

Hold the T/C button down for about 20 seconds, now with ESC off, try again. If it doesn't come to life the turn CC off. Try again. If it fails again reload the tune cause you dont have it installed.

OK did that. Only came up to 15psi but now I have a check engine light on. I'm going to see what the code is then reload the code. I think I will skip the transparency step this time. There is something installed because it is running stronger but not as strong as it should from what I have read here. With only 40K on it I would think I'm not dealing with a mechanical failure but who knows.
