Unhappy Do your wheels look like mine????

I know I have had this discussion before and some members offered great ideas on what to do with the wheels, but this AM at work with the sun on the driver's side, I couldn't resist taking some pics of the "bad " finish on these wheels, and I know that this is a by-product of polished wheels, but these are really the pits.......

PS....I know, I know, there are some water spots in pic #3, but it did sprinkle last night on the way home, I won't let it happen again........

Those look bad. I would take them back to the dealer. That should be under warranty

already did, and thay said that is the finish, so I am going to contact GM and email these pics and more and thank them for a great finish on the wheels. You guys should know me by now, I am ANAL, but really don't complain about issues, always trying to find a solution, but with these wheels, I am complaining.......

Mine are not that bad but I did notice that they do have lots of scratches, but I plan on getting new wheels eventually so it doesn't bother me to much.

No mine don't look that bad. Maybe a few little scratches but not many. I wonder if the detail person at the dealer scratched them?

Mine look nice and shiny straight on, but if I take a flashlight and shine it across the surface, lots of fine (uniform) scratches show up. I checked other aluminum polished pieces I have, and they look the same, with the exception of those I have polished with paste. I think your only alternatives (if it really bothers you that much) is to strip the clear coat and re-polish (which means continuing maintenance) or go chrome.

Wow, mine definitely do not look that bad! I know they do show more flaws when the light hits them just right (or wrong!), but I agree with C2Vette. I don't think you have a lot of options if GM won't replace them for you. Those boys must have made it to the polisher on a Monday morning or Friday afternoon!
