Does it fit?
I am sorry you had issues but mine has come out nice. So far I have yet to have anyone who thought it did not look much better than stock. The small gap in the middle I had was small and easily delt with.
I am used to doing things that are not just a bolt on or need modified or adjusted in some way. That is the way it used to be on most parts because you had to make em.
I guess the quality is spotty.
I wonder if this may have been what the delay on the rear one may be. I wonder if they have also had quality issues with that one.
Either way I am as picky as anyone on details on a car. I have a black daily driver with nary a scratch showing and I have no issue with the fit or finish on mine.
If you are not happy with it send it back and just retape the stock ones on. They should take them back if you bought them from a honest company. Not fitting is a legit isssue.
I know at my work I would have no issue seeing these come back.
No reason to eat 85 bucks.

Time will tell how this will play out.....I just can't see paying shipping both ways for a part that's not even close. (I'm still waitin' to see the refund for the rear piece that's on back order) That's where the paper weight ideal comes from. Only thing I can see to make it fit......heat her to about 1000
degrees for say 'bout a hour and then gently shape to fit. Yea I know.....not likely to happen. Reshape the grill? Oh wait.....maybe Street Scene will make a grill it will fit......but the grill will fit 'bout like my paper weight fits.

That is a horrible fit. It's almost as bad as the cheap grill I got off ebay once. Custom fit my @ss. Did you send them the pics of how this fits? Happen to pay by paypal?
Makes your wonder what they "tested" this with, or if at all.

Solman, I sent a pic to the Street Scene rep dude named Mike at his request and he came back with how they had installed one on a local HHR and everything was fine and dandy (my word translation of his yap about it). Mike's final word, send it back for a refund (shippin' both ways is yours to lose).
I'm waitin' on the refund from the rear piece (that's on back order) from Sport Truck Direct (that's long over due). And now send the front piece back . Looks like so far I have a used 85 dollar paper weight.
Heck where I work, we would have refunded that day WITH shipping included and given them a coupon for ten percent off a future purchase.

That's why I asked about paypal. If you paid that way, you could file for a refund and you would get the initial shipping back. But you would still have to pay for the return shipping.
I'd still send it back though, it should only cost a couple of bucks. Some companies just don't stand behind what they sell.
Here's that grill I bought, took some email swaps, but I got my money back.

Ugly fitment.....

I'd like to go thatta way Solman if I could trust'em. Right now at least I got sumthin'.
Been thinkin', buddy of mine dabbles with poly whatever it is and could a good mold for a spacer/correcter be made that would correct that fine and dandy don't fit fit. Guy did me a set of saddle bag buckles for Christmas and it looked so good I regretted using 'em.

Extra tape works as well if you cut a foam spacer out and tape it on. The outer bow tie arms stick flush only the top and bottom has any kind of gap.
I took mine off last night and redid it. I am thinking of other ideas. This is not a big deal and little fab work will resolve it.
Once I get it to where it is to the place I think you would be happy I will let you know what I did.
This is far from the worst fitting part I have had to work with.
Next time you might be a little more careful of who you bought from. A good place would give you a refund and return label.
There are too many good places on the web that have been around for 40+ years that will take care of you.

Hyper, I know what your talkin' about. Brings back nightmares of a 68 Dodge
that I knew all too well from underneath and the "never should have sold'em" Chevy Vegas that I fabbed small blocks into before I found out 'bout the Don Hardy kits you could buy right off the shelf.
Your right, it's no biggie. But this is 2010, not 1973. Now days I work 55 to 60 hours a week and I'm gettin' just a little slower. For what I paid for the piece it should be better.

Like I said earlier "Pee pot customer care".
