Done for now.

I installed my hitch and light harness last weekend and after much deliberation I had the stage one power upgrade done. I was very worried about all the horror stories that seemed to stem from shoddy work concerning the butt connectors. I expressed my concerns the the manager and the tech that was put on my car. I can say that I am very pleased with the results. I asked the tech to use shrink tubing over the sealing butt connectors and he said "no sweat". So after he was all done and handed me the keys he said he took the liberty of NOT using the but connectors and installed new pins on the wires and installed them in the new connectors.....NO BUTT CONNECTORS.... looks all stock. It really rips a$$ too!! Why hasn't anyone thought of this solution before?? I would suggest to anyone that has or had drivability problems with the stage 1 to have this pin swap done, it just seems like the proper way to do this.
Done spending money on this station wagon for now.....Till fall....might get some winter wheels/tires.

So, the wires are long enough to do that? AMAZING! This is the first post that makes me want the Stage 1. Keep us posted on results over time - most of the installs work at first, then have problems due to resistance going up in the splice (not an issue with yours). If this works, I'm IN!

plenty long enough, takes only about 1/2 inch off the harness. I think it saves the tech time too, he doesn't have to open the harness and fiddle with heat shrinking, then closing it all up. Makes a nice clean weather tight connection.
