exhaust/other ?'s sure its been tackled before...

i understand that with just a axle back im not getting all the performance gains... but will it change the sound at least on the ss? i dont want it to sound like a tin can either hahaha so would i just get full exhaust and save the disappointment of a cheaper tin can sounding axle back? (like both sides of opinion here, turbo back and axle back people)

also is retuning for a turbo back exhaust required or does the computer adjust itself? i have the turbo upgrade kit as well...
i just know with my sportbike full exhaust need retuned/dyno'd and usually runs about 300 bucks around here.... what does a car run for? bout the same? basically i want a good sound!

also can a aftermarket blow off valve be installed simply at home? i'm new to this turbo stuff so bare with me hahaha... i really like the spooling turbo sound but it would seem to be cooler if it was louder to me... what suggestions do you all have?

i've got thousands of dollars in my head for idea's of upgrades and currently $0000.00 dollars to work with im just planning my next item hahaha

It wont sound like a tin can because the turbo muffles the sound but if ur gonna ddo an exhaust then do the whole thing because our biggest restriction in the stock system is the downpipe

No retuning necessary for the exhaust

The only way you can install an aftermarket BOV is if you get a hot side intercooler pipe with a flange welded on it but dont do it if youre not going with a bigger turbo down the road

And if you want the louder spooling sound then just take the intake cover off. Sure you will be running hotter IATs but it will sound cool lol

full exhaust will more then likely be the change i will do.. but not till next xmas vacation check im just planning ahead

You'll get more of the sounds of the turbo spooling w/ the K&N drop in filter. Some guys have experienced the P0101 code (MAF sensor) w/ the filter alone or the CAI of a few different makes, some haven't. If you're planning on getting the filter only, just make sure it's not over-oiled as that seems to be the major culprit behind that code popping up.

After I put in the Trifecia tune on my SS, I noticed the sound of the turbo spooling up, and the BOV, much louder.
Had the girlfriend, do a few full throttle runups, and drivebys, and now it sure sounds wicked with the tune on. Wicked flo muffler sounds narley too.
Started on my mods, as mo money is available [self employed sucks, with this economy]. Installed hood scoop Sunday, and next is a drop with either Pedders or B&G. After that wheels, sway bar, frt. splitter then dark grey met. racing stripe, stripped in dark red, to match wheels. Sorry I digress. "Moon"
