Finally found myself a nice HHR SS :D

Looking to purchase this little beast towards the end of the month... (http://www.sedanoautogroup.com/Vehic...-CA/2047661393) I test drove it and it is a blast 5 speed manual... short throws... 26k miles, the price is negotiable so going to try to talk them down a little bit... I am also looking into a black one a few miles north of me, I like it better in black, but that one is nearing 100k miles, and I am preferring something under 50k miles. The salesperson seemed quite happy when I test drove it when I told her it was no problem that it was a manual... (Hardly anyone drives a manual in this town...) Hope all goes well for me to buy it Nothing wrong with my cobalt, it just wasn't what I was wanting at the time but I needed credit

I just bought a 2009 HHR SS with 10,833 miles for $17,300. Original owner became terminally ill and didn't drive it. Daughter keep it in the garage for a couple of years before she traded it in.

So I think the price of $17,900 is high for a '08 but what do I know. I love mine. I wanted a Panel with 5 speed.

Does seem a bit high for a 2008, IMO, even one with that low mileage. Maybe the market is just that in California though. There was one for sale in Kansas not long ago with something like 19000 miles for $14K but sold before I could get to it. Bought mine in Texas for $12500 but with more mileage.

Going to talk to them towards the end of the month, that is when the price is easier to negotiate... if that doesn't work I am looking at one in LA, a 2010 with 45k miles 5spd manual... either way I can't wait to get mine I had been considering a Dodge Caliber SRT-4... but didn't like it... HHR SS beats it in looks, reliability... ride comfort... etc

well... after talking to the dealership that has the silver one, it is obvious they are going to try and keep the price at 18k(+tax title, fees... etc) That is far too much for a used 5 year old vehicle, even tho it is an SS and does have 26k on the clock... I am looking at a black one near sacramento that is priced lower, has higher mileage, still under 100k, but for 9k http://www.kunichevycadillac.com/Veh...-CA/2061785893 This is most likely the one I will try to buy, as the price is better :) Plus it is black

Silly isn't it. I didn't put them there. It also had vertical chrome strips
behind the doors and but got rid of them fast. The darn glue holding them on is hard to get off. Some goop remover I tried left the paint hasy where i tried it.

nada says 15,300 for a clean retail... I know it is an SS, but it is not worth 18k :o If I go for the one with 93k miles, is there anything I should be on the lookout for? The dealership that one is at is asking half what the dealership is asking for the silver one... plus the 93k miles one is the color I want (Black)
