Strange, cause I used to buy a ride fix it up & shine it up, then up for sale. The 2 S-10's I've had were the longest I ever owned a vehicle, till my Panel...
I hear that. i had a '97 S-10 SS with the 4.3 vortec V-6. That truck would smoke the tires with little effort. miss that truck

Lethal Tendencies- Cool about your 97 SS, my last S-10 was a 98, I miss it too. But it would have needed an LS swap it was the anemic 4 banger, which was fine on flatland of Fla, but when we moved to the mountains that lil engine was not getting it...

Sleeper an LS is a nice way to go. Buy a used one and drop it in with the trans.
Another idea is to use the LNF engine that was in the inline version. The power to weight ratio has been proven to work out well.

Mine was red with the sport side or stepside bed. I had added a ram air hood. If I can find a pic I will post it. Yours looks very nice

Cat Man- no LNF for me, it would be an LS or nothing. They make kits for the computers etc that are plug -n- play to do the swap & have it all work properly. I'd need another S-10 first, I'm fresh out as of Aug 2009..

Lethal Tendencies- That sounds sharp man, a pic would be cool if you get time. I never had an S-10 stepside. Always liked them tho. my 1st S-10 one was a 1985 long bed. I put 33" tires on it..

Thanks, my 98 I lowered 3" F & 5" rear, plus about 973 other mods.. LOL
