Finally got an SS

After searching for nearly a year, I finally found an SS that was close enough and priced reasonably enough to buy. Got an 09 with 50K on it. Looks like it was well taken care of. Is there anything that I should do maintenance wise for it at 50K ?

I traded in my 11 2LT for it and the ride is firmer as expected, but not harsh. So far, I really like having the extra power and cornering ability. I was able to get 31.7 mpg on the way home from buying it.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Congrats on the SS purchase.

Now. Give us some details like color, transmission, options etc.
And some pictures would be nice also.

on the new ride! How about some pictures?

I would change the fluids and have it inspected to make sure that nothing is needed now.
Budget for a tune and upper motor mount, core the 2nd cat and that's a great start.

Thanks for the welcome. It is an auto. Does not have the performance seats or the computer in place of the pocket. Best I can tell it is stock.

Looking good.

And kind of familiar. Same Victory Red as mine.

All Right .... Big Congratulations Bluegrass HHR!! As you know, I can relate to your purchase after such a long search for just the right one! Yours looks very very clean ... and with low miles... Excellent! Nice Find! Enjoy ......
BTW ... Just returned home from Bowlin' Green (he..he..) with my new Mystique Blue SS Panel ... 2500 Miles in 3 Days and vehicle ran perfect with no issues. My only disappointment was fuel milage .. could only managed 24 -26 Mpg ... not even close to your 31 Mpg! Guess I'll have to search the forum and see whats what. Kind Regards. Baron Rico

Baron,

My return trip was on two lane rural roads at 60 mph. I'm sure it won't even come close to that on the highway at 70+ . My old HHR averaged 28.5 around here in mixed driving. I think this one will be very similar except more fun.
Glad you made it back with yours. I hope we both enjoy these cars for a long time.

What a great and smart deal.

Well enjoy it - I took mine for a short ride across the Mackinaw Bridge in Michigan. It was very cold but we got a couple of photos. See the bridge in the background.
