Finally saw another SS on the road !

I see a black LT2 that looks like mine (used to
) most mornings on the way out to work. and a few times I've seen a black SS zipping by the house...So other then the red one I saw coming out of Selman months ago (and the only person to wave at me), I've not really seen any other then our ivtech's (Charles) either.

I saw one on Saturday, black like mine and with the smoked out headlights. I was going the speed limit and he thought I must be g@y for doing such an injustice to this vehicle (even though, my family was in the car). Or he wanted to prove something and race me...
He zoomed by and I waved
, but he just grimaced 
. My only thought was if a cop spots him and starts to pull out and I go by he might get me for speeding and how do you convince a cop that it was another Black HHR SS that looks just like mine, who was speeding?
Luckily, he tore off like he just ate Mexican and was looking for a rest stop.
It's funny how people react to seeing someone with the same taste, some get offended or want to compete, while others want to offer congratulations on a great choice in life.
My thought was, why race, we have the same car, I mean of course my vent visors and emblem decals (that he was lacking), clearly made my car faster, but why prove it?

It takes A LOT to offend me! My apologies if it came off that way (was trying to be funny too!).
If someone does offend, I have learned to get over it and forgive and/or recognize their right to free speech (I did go to Berkeley after all--home of the Free Speech Movement).
Just put a little Tapatio (tm) on everything and you'll be fine!
LOVE the Black SS, btw...Seriously, I'm surprised I don't see more around.

You probably do get an extra 5HP from that but here is my breakdown:
SS emblems (x3) - 1HP each = tot 3HP
Bowtie emblems (x2) - 2HP each = tot 4HP
Vent visors - 5HP
Weight reduction (removed Chicklets, HHR from the back) - 2HP
Smoked out headlights - 4HP
Grand Total = 18HP
I have the clear advantage! LOL 
I have the paint to do my calipers, if I had that done I would be way ahead.

OK, I do have 1 Bowtie emblem, but it is the blk/red SS version so it should be worth 4HP.
I want the added power of the smoked headlights, maybe after payday. Of course if you do paint your calipers and I don't then...

I've only seen one SS on the road since they came out, and I've been lookin' out for 'em. The one I did see I thought was just a cosmetic wannabe, but as I got closer to it, I realized it was the real thing... a black one.
