Looks pretty normal?

AHA! here it is!

SS LOGO and Shift LIGHTS

almost in line with the Boost gauge!

cover will keep sunlight out of the lcd screen!

Someone should make a pod that fits this spot, or I can fit another 2 gauges in here!

Works GREAT!

TAHNKS TODD at aeroforce!

Best money I spent and a pretty cool install if I say so myself!

What sort of data can you get it to display?

Kinda curious may be worth the dough.

whatever the pcm can see, pretty much everything, plus you can read codes and erase them as well as performance timer(like a g-tech) and case learn...

Tons of functions! Plus you can set the shiftlights (or make them boost lights or whatever)
look at the last pic, its reading the Fuel pressure at the rail and the A/F ratio off the wideband :)
here are some

New Feature: Bi-directional controls!
These allow for electric fan control, fuel trim reset, and CASE Learn. Available on both the
standard GM gauge and CAN bus gauge.

I've got one in my SRT-4. Great gauge. Here's the site.

Check Autometer, they make several different dash pods, I'm sure one of them would fit (with modification). http://www.autometer.com/cat_mountsd...&mdl=17&gw=0em

Did you use the one for the Cobalt? Will it work on a regular HHR and just give the vacuum information? Does it read engine codes also? Looks very interesting. From what it looks like, it just plugs into the code reader.

By the way, how big is the factory vacuum/boost gauge? If it is standard size, you could replace it with your new toy, since it also gives that information.

nope they have a CAN specific one that works with the HHR.
HHR CN series #CNx01

they have really improved this since the ones I have in the srt, etc.

I want this gauge to read other things than just boost, which is why I left it in a different spot. works great, code reader, various parameters, you can even set it to scroll thru all the readings at a specific rate.

Cobalt Addiction has a gauge pod that mounts on top of the steering column and they sell the one for the non-SS HHR too.

tried that but it blocks too much of the stock gauges because the gauge area is so small compared to the cobalt. The spot I put it in is perfect!
I can close the top if I want to and its gone or I can just keep it open and its displayed

How big is the factory boost gauge? Does it have room for a tweeter?

I have a vacuum gauge in my HHR mounted on the right side of the dash, but I would love to relocate it to the pillar if it will fit in the SS panal.

By the way, another use for that storage bin could be for GPS.
