Ok... well the parts guy even while looking at a parts diagram was referring to the wrong piece. he was talking about the piece in front of the air deflector (which I have) and is hooked to the backside of the bumper. However, not in any year 2006-2010 do they list a piece that I'm speaking off.

And the mechanic that did the turbo/IC pipe and said he went thru the wheel well not from under the car.

Verdict from dealership. no such panel exists. They can't even find a part # to order a new one.

You guys have any more input??

Hmm, maybe it's just not there, and we're all assuming that when we had it on (speaking for myself here) we never noticed the gap you see before? Just playing devil's advocate...

EDIT: Then again, the dealer may not have a clue. If you remember when I was looking to put LED's in my front map lights, I called two dealers to get a correct bulb #. TWO dealerships told me that the entire thing needed to be replaced as one big, expensive unit since "the controls for the sunroof and the Onstar mic were in there"! (rolls eyes)

Did you look at my newer pics from the other day? You have the same piece? Behind IC & behind air deflector to sub frame. I'm not sure how it would even hook up to the subframe...

I know I said on here I'd go and take a picture for you. I need to do that. Since I'm on vaca from tomorrow til the 3rd, I'll make sure to snap one and post it here to compare for you.

From under the car...
Went out and looked at mine(2010 SS). Mine looks the same as your pics. In fact, I even have the same white scribble I.D. mark in the same location! So I would assume that all your parts are there.Mine has never been in the shop or worked on,so no chance of missing parts from repairs.
Only other possibility is something is missing from the factory. On both cars? I don't think so.
If it makes you feel better, didn't know you could see "to the ground" until I read this thread and went and looked. I'm pretty sure all your parts are there after looking at the pictures.
Anybody else have a different answer? My 2 cents is just based on comparison to my car.

Thanks fireman, but you can see that tab in the middle that looks like something should slide together. It's weird and you can see why I thought something wrong.

Asanti... thanks. Let us know.

Yep.Noticed that tab on mine. I was thinking the same thing. Until somebody comes up with a different idea, I'm not gonna worry about it.

I didn't take a pic but looking at my splitter as it sits in my garage, it has the same tabs you see G.M. I must have been looking at something else when I didn't see the ground way back. I'm assuming that there IS no piece that goes to the frame after the splitter, and that it's normal.

Thanks fire and asanti. The dealer said the same thing. I notice that if I back up thru deep snow, it acts like a shovel! LOL

If you want, PM me your cell # G.M. I'll send you the pic I took with my cell. Nothing you haven't seen before lol, but at least you'll know there "shouldn't" be anything missing under there.
