Funny Smell

All kidding aside, anyone had any issues of an odour from the driver's compartment when they first start their SS (first few minutes of driving). It smells like stinky feet, honestly. Just wondering if this is a warning sign of something going sideways in the engine compartment.

Probably from the A/C evaporator coil.

What I do is turn the A/C off about a half mile before my destination to dry it out a little, it has helped a lot with that smell.

My 07 Envoy will do the same thing if I don't do this.

Same problem here except it smells like someone threw up in my AC vents. I only smell it the first few minutes I drive it each day, but with the advice above it has gotten a little better, although mine started after we had a really bad couple days of rain a week or so ago.

It just might be. I found a pair of white gloves and the wrapping for the steering wheel stuffed in the passenger side fuse box when mine was 1st delivered. Must have been the end of a shift at the plant.

You know, i have been noticing this too lately. It has a definte sewer like smell!

I checked my filter and it was clean and dry. I do notice it only when I have been using the A/C and it was very muggy wet weather. Will try shutting off the A/C early as tooter1 suggested and see if it helps. Never noticed this with my other GMs though...
